We’re delighted to announce that bookings are open for this year’s hewing course in the ancient woodland of Dragon Wood in western Gloucestershire! Join us for two days of learning traditional timber hewing with experienced tutors, supplemented with a hands-on introduction to woodland ecology and management, and an evening lecture by an expert in historical conservation of timber buildings.

Course dates are Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June 2026, and the fees are £160 for both days.  We are delighted to be working closely with the Carpenters’ Fellowship to organise this course, and the Fellowship have generously offered £100 bursaries for their members (limited availability – please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to apply for a bursary).

Course places are limited, so do book your place soon, using the online booking form. For further information, do contact us or download the course brochure.
